Pangkor Camping

After 27 years in my life, last year I just had my first camping at the beach.. and I really love the place and have been introducing to friends and organizing to the place with different gang of friends too... It just need 2 days 1 nite time for the camping... and it's like a total getaway from the city life.. and it's really relax....

The weekends of 2 weeks ago, I have just there for the 3rd time again.. it's really really nice... love the place max... but anyhow.. photos that I will be posting are from the 2nd time I was there as the 3rd time my camera battery didn't charge... and my phone's battery was totally out after of one day's usage...

Besides camping at the beach, we have little road trip too... usually road trip is more to an eating trip.. heheee... ^_^

Starting the journey, we never take any highway or toll... using the very traditional old way to our destination..

Oh ya... and one more thing u must have here is the KOPI!!! NICE!!!!!

Tah dahhhhh... this is a typical small little coffee shop in most of the small states in Malaysia.. I love something in the shop is they are really all ONE MALAYSIA... it's not like everyone in the city... whenever there's no HALAL sign...

Alright.. after the breakfast... we are heading to the jetty... roughly another 2 hours to reach jetty.... everyone is excited for the moment!

The jetty is where the ferry could bring us to the island... but not the car.. so then, there's a parking building actually for us to park our car there for the whole one night... and their parking is juz RM11 for the night.. pretty cheap right?

Aaron and CY is preparing to bring all the things into the camp site..

There's no mineral water int he camp side... so this time we have enough guys to help to bring this box of water in...

The ferry is quite spacious... everyone trying to take a nap in the ferry.. it's not a long journey though... just around half an hour time then arrived... usually the time get back to peninsular time would be more tired....

ARRIVED AT PANGKOR!!!!

We arrived in Pangkor around noon time, so it's time to have our lunch after the breakie we had in Sungai Besar because if u don't eat anything... you will suffer from hunger in the camp site until night time.

There is one coffee shop there with few stalls, like chicken rice that I had and another noodle stall. Not much choice actually

and we saw some other tables having LO MAI KAI n we ordered too... must go with the chili sauce.. heheee..

And nasi lemak again.. hahaaa...

After having our lunch, we need to head to the camp site.. The first time we went, we actualyl hike into the camp site.. but this round, we actually took the boat to arrive our destination.

This is the place we gather to wait for the boat that we are taking to the camp site... Moreover, this is also the place to hike into the camp site too...

While everyone is waiting beside the road for the boat... just took some photos of everyone..

We need 2 rounds of boat ride... coz we have too many things to take and too many of us...

So, the first thing when we reach the camp site... we need to build our tent... so everyone is bz with building the tent when first arrived.. because it's juz like our hotel room, we need to keep our stuff into the tent..

Haa... look at the tent.. what is extra inside it? A BED!!!! AN AIR BED!!! hahaaa... this is actually the comfy tent for Mohan and his wife Dobelle..

Everyone has the tent ready!

So after building up all the tents, it's the free and easy time... you can go out the sea and swim as we are camping at the beach... they even provide the kayak and you could used it if it's not occupied... but overall... it will be a relaxing camp to go...

it's coming to the evening and dinner time soon.. so carcoal is ready and everything is ready for the fire for us to bbq!!!

So before having our fire place, we need to dig a hole first.. so our DAI KOH Mohan, taking the cangkul and did the job..

Everyone is so enjoy the food and to bbq the food together... it's a really good process to get everyone together..

After eating, some of us still able to get down the sea and play for a while again... so for me, usually I will not changed until it's time to sleep.. I will wearing my bikini once I arrived until before I get to sleep... hahahaa.... dirty hor? :P but it's shiok!!!! it can't happen in KL!!

So... This is not really a very very typical camp site... U know... people always saying that camping no toilet, very dark, a lot difficulties.. bla bla bla.... but here, until night time, they will fix on the light bulb... and at least we will have some light and not too dark for everyone and yes.. we still need the torch light to survive..

Additionally, they have a bath room for you to take bath and the 3rd time I was there, they have a proper toilet in the ladies for you to poo poo.. and for guys... used to not having the cover and it is an open-cover bathroom... and most of the time, monkeys will come and steal the toothpaste... though their toilet it's not like what we have in the city.. but AT LEAST there is some proper place to take your bath... and the water is SUPERB COOOOOOOOOL...

I know everyone is juz relaxing themselves during the bbq session... as well as enjoying the gathering session too... It's really a good session..

And after bbq session finished dinner, everyone will be taking turns to take bath.. and then having the drinking session and continue with the chatting .... and also some games session...

After having some drinking session with the activities that we had during the afternoon, everyone is totally exhausted and get back to the tent to rest. Yawn~

Back to the morning, everyone woke up with the breeze of sea water... *stretch* it's really nice nice feeling when you first thing wake up you could able to see the SEA infront of you.. most of us actually have the sea view from our tent...

As I get a lot of people's opinion, Pangkor's beach is not clean anymore, but from what I seen from this beach... it is clean enough and the sand even could use for body scrub.. hahahaa... how great it is!!! :D

Ok.. I have left out earlier something special about this camp also.. they actually providing a kitchen to us...

Yeah... CY is cooking his maggi mee in the early morning...with egg... oh ya.. one thing here not good is.. we will be having unhealthy food for our breakfast... mainly instant food... hehee... but nvm lah... once in a while only...

Everyone juz enjoying themselves after the breakfast... even Aaron get to have a short nap..

It's pack up time.... Everyone is bz-ing keep their tent, their belongings... and ready to get back to KL again...

We were waiting for the boat to get us out from the island again... so each of us have something to play with while waiting there..

OK! Great!! we could able to get back to LUMUT the Jeti there.. and whenever we were there, we would get to the shops near by to buy some local titbits or food back to KL... and we actually went out to one of the chinese shop...

And everyone will always happily leave with big packs of gifts to their families, colleagues and friends....

So by the time we arrived at the jeti, it's lunch time. So after shopping, we will go around to look for seafood.. Lumut is more alike a Malay place, so if really want to have chinese food, we need to travel further in to the chinese village there, and we actually get this recommendation from the boss of the shop that we were shopping earlier.. and the boss actually told us that the restaurant has been introduced by the Ah Sien (from Astro)

Everyone filled up the stomach and getting ready to get back to KL again...

Overall it's a really relaxation short trip... what you need is juz the weekend Saturday and Sunday...Great experience I would say.... and it's like a getaway from KL... to relax your mind and soul... after getting back from this island, you could able to recharge to perform better in work...

Phew... finally finished blogging about this trip... took me quite sometime to upload the photos.... Next week I will be heading to HK.. it will be a lone ranger trip.. hehee.... Hope that I could able to enjoy myself in HK.... Enjoy reading!! ^_^
