My one week Hong Kong trip

Really have so many posts to upload.. can please give me more time then I can do more things or not??? and Time really flies!!!!! argghhhh......

Recently when I was trying to update my blog, found some skin quite nice and I have just changed it just becoz simply it has ORANGE COLOR!!!!!! it's my favourite!!!!!

Anwyay, I went to HK for one week during the week of 13-20 May. 3 days for my studies and another 4 more days have been shopping around until I couldn't feel my legs (walk too much) and hands (carry shopping goods) anymore... but I really love shopping in HK.. it's a great place to go for shopping and eating unfortunately this round time I didn't get to eat much..

but after the enjoyable studies and holidays... have been so busy on working and assignment... going to die soon...

I have taken the Cathay to Hong Kong as the price is cheap and compare to AirAsia it's just 150+ difference. So I rather treat myself better.

Arriving Hong Kong, the first 4 nites I will be staying in my friends' (Ricky and Sherry) place. In this trip, I really so glad to see them again and really thank you very much to them on their threats when I was there. And we seems like so many things to catch up and talk about. It's just too bad that my class has been running during the weekends and they need to work during the weekdays. So the only time that I could able to catch up with them were during the night time.

Here is the room that I slept in their house. This is actually their son-Karlson's room. I have taken up for the couple of days and the son has been sleeping with them for that couple of nights.

This is their lovely son-Karlson. He just looks like the mom so much and he is so cute and adorable. He is smiling most of the time and this makes people likes him so much.

Me and Karlson

Distance between my friend's place and the Uni that I was having my class was quite far. I need to take half an hour

The classroom that I have attended my class. First day was in a smaller class. 2nd and 3rd in a larger room and it's in another floor too but I have forgotten to take a picture of it.

First day of the class, I was afraid that I might late for class, so I have arrived the Uni like 1 and half hour earlier. I have nothing to do .. therefore, EAT!!! again.. hahaaaa... juz my favourite to find something different from Malaysia... and I just bought it from the stall downstairs of my building.

This is the station to reach my Uni -Kowloon Tong-

Railway. Their train came in every 15 minutes. So even you have missed one train it's ok. But I really like their transportation. At least there's choice whether to take the public transport or drive a car.

In Uni, they have the vending machine, and this is the drink that I have chosen. There's another one-grape juice which is very nice, too but I didn't take the photo also..

Well well... this is the first day I went out dinner with my classmates. They are from hong kong, bahrain and switzerland.

outside of the restaurant

In the double decker bus

Tsim Tsa Tsui.. watching the other island of Hong Kong

View 3

Chris, Natasha, Natalie and Mr Switzerland (oppss.. I have forgotten his name coz he is not in my same group)

After dinner and the view, we went to a pub near by to have a drink

And this is the first time for Natasha and Mr Switzerland to play with dice game (Dai Wah Sik)

Pacific Coffee - Almost everyday had it in the class to keep me awake. Coffee addict

Aqua - it's the skybar in Hong Kong. Located in Kow Loon area. It was the last day of class and most of the Hong Kong classmates invited us as a foreigner to the nice place and had a chit chat over there. There were another session for dinner, unfortunately I couldn't able to join as I need to join Sherry and the family for dinner.

The gals
I can't really remember their name besides Natasha

Another take for the gals, this round I am in!!

Another take again!!!

I had a small incident at the same day. I actually had food poisoning during the afternoon time right after the lunch. Didn't know what was I allergic to, but after having those dim sums, my eyes was swollen, and after that I had difficulties in breathing, too. Luckily there's a classmate that working in the pharmaceutical line and she has all the emergency medicine with her. After taking the medicine, I felt so much better.. But it was horrified and I was so scared that I might need to admit into the hospital.

Having such an incident, made me so tired for the day. When I was taking the train back to meet Sherry and families for dinner, I fell asleep in the train. Was really very tired. But luckily it recovered in short while.

After meeting up with Sherry and family, we went to have dinner together. Ricky had a wedding to attend so he didn't join for the dinner. Ricky's mum, uncle, auntie, sister and brother in-law and me was having dinner together. We had steamboat.

Honestly, I love to eat Hong Kong style of steamboat. And their sauce are good. You can mix any of the sauce together based on your own taste. I love to mix the SAN CHA ZHEUNG with garlic and cili padi. yum yum~ hou hou sik ah!!!

The style of steamboat in Hong Kong is slightly different from Malaysia's typical steamboat which comes with set. This is something similar you could get in the Pudu area those kind of steamboat.

this is the tray for all the sauces they have

Clear soup for the based of the steamboat

Haa.. this is the mixture of my sauce

Alright.. Having enough stay FREE for 3 nights in Ricky and Sherry's house. Really thank you so much to them for the host and allowing me to stay in for the 3 nights and I could saved up that 3 nights stay for my shopping.

My classes was during the weekends, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So, on the Monday itself I just need to move all my stuff to the hostel that I have booked which is located in causeway bay. It's a budget hotel. I stayed there for 3 nites too. I went for budget becoz most of the hotels in Hong Kong are in high price, so to save my money for shopping, I rather stay in the budget hostel. Moreover, it's in causeway bay, I found it quite good to stay in that area and safe.

Maybe some people might think the place is decent enough to stay, but for me, I found it is ok and everything has just facilitated me. Let's walk through the room I had. Initially I have booked a single room for myself only, but when I arrived, their single room has actually full. Hence, they gave me a double room with the same price they charged. GREAT! I actually have an extra bed to locate my shopping goods!!! hahahaa.....

Outside toilet

Inside toilet

2 beds. One for me to sleep. One for me to put my luggage.

Another view of the room. It's better for me to sleep at another bed and watch the LCD they have in the room. Moreover, they have wireless provided. So at night I could able to get online to chat with some of my frens.

View from my room outside the windows. It's a newspaper stall opposite. I went there to buy a few megazines back, too.

They actually provided a place for us to dry your clothes if you are washing any of yours.

and there's the smoking area

"Make My Day"

Lift that I took everyday up and down
And also to enter the building, I need to enter pass code, too. Just like how you saw in the HK series.

Downstairs of my hostel. There's actually a cinema opposite. Was looking for a movie to watch the other night because I heard from some people saying that the cinema in Hong Kong is good. But ended up I didn't get to watch becoz didn't know how to purchase the tix and didn't bother to ask.

So after checking in to my hostel, I have actually had a date with Natasha to the outlet place to shop.

One of the train line

Central train station
You could able to check in your luggage in this station and just take the train straight to the airport. I accompanied Natasha all the way to the air port as the plan changed from the previous plan. So we had lunch together int he Central Station

My beef set of meal. It was so good and tasty

Natasha's fish salad. It was also tasty too.

After having lunch, we went to walk around as there is actually a shopping. And also we get to have a look at the outside of the building and taking some photos around.

And then I went to airport with Natasha by the express train. It's so convenient with the train to get to the airport. Sending her up to the departure gate, and then I left alone back to Dong Chung for outlet shopping.

Dong Chung - Citygate Outlets which they have a few of the branded outlets here.. it's pretty near to the airport.. So instead for me to get the train again to the place, I have actually took the bus. And it's much more cheaper and straight reached the building.

In front of CityGate Outlets. Was so happy when saw the "outlets" this wording. but infact, for me, there's nothing much brands that I could able to get. Even Polo Ralph Lauren, I couldn't get to buy any of the Polo shirt! but I managed to buy a Coach Bag ^_^

There's a girl during my class is working for Coca-Cola as a Marketing and she was sort of trying to promote about this Vitamin Water in the class, too. Saying that, she said this product is selling in Hong Kong but only in higher end area. So since she has promoting it quite badly, I can't resist to go and try since I was almost to fall sick and thought might able to get back some vitamin from the drink.

In fact, after trying the drinks, I just feel that it's just like a normal coloring drinks instead of vitamin water so strong concept. moreover, the pricing is not that cheap though. so it's juz a one time off thing for me.. heheee...

So right after my shopping, I was supposed to rush to catch up with Ricky and Sherry back into the city in Mong Kok. It was so nice of them, they accompany me for dinner. So they have selected one restaurant at the 2nd level of a building.

According to them, most of the shoplots in Hong Kong are currently in a high price, a lot of people couldn't actually afford it. Therefore, they will get the rental at the 2nd floor.

It was a long queue while waiting for our turn to have the table for dinner. According to them again, in Hong Kong, it's a normal thing that happen and it happens everywhere.

Orchard Grand Cafe and Restaurant

There's long time I didn't have a chance to eat a Spinach Spaghetti after the shop closed down in One Utama or shifted but not I know of. I haven taken 2 photos below which one is from the menu, and one is the real food. Which both appear the same. I like that becoz I think in Malaysia most of the restaurant their menu sure have a little clause below saying "Pictures are just for illusion"

From the Menu

Real Food

Having say that, I really appreciate a lot to both of them that came out and have dinner with me. And Sherry still remember that I like to eat this Lou Lou. After dinner, we were still walking around at Mong Kok area to shop. In fact I felt a bit uneasy for both of them to shop with me. At least if juz Sherry still ok la... but for guys to shop with me, I always felt so pai seh and uneasy unless he is my bf then different case.. haa...

This little small pack of things is a mixture of few snacks + sauce + garlic = nice! Their style of selling is juz like how Malaysian's stall selling instant fruits. For them they put small packs into the boxes. Whatever u want juz tell them and then they will combine a few into one then mix with the sauce. GREAT!

Langham Place

Hairdryer that provided from the hostel

Marlboro Inn
Ha.... after one month my mum and sis went to HK too and I introduced them this hostel and they were keep on complaining. which I actually found it still alright and the most important thing is their area is superb for shopping and convenient!!

Curry fish ball. Didn't manage to eat the one in mong kok, so juz bought from 7-11. still tasted nice.

Slurp slurp... yat lap lap

In Hong Kong, juz like those series that we watched from dvd or tv. They love to go "char chan sat"- HK style coffee shop, which I also won't miss it during my trips to HK. But I don't know any nice one to go. Just random pick and go to fill up my hunger.

Chen Seng Kei Char Chan Teng Menu

I sat just next to the kitchen

Yin Yong Dong

Gon Chao Ngao Hor (direct translate = Dry Fried Cow River)

My lunch. I can't finish the noodle. Almost left half of it. Too big size for me.. okok.. I know what u guys are going to say.... yes.. I just can't finish...

Yeah... there's one day I was totally one person walking around.. my legs were like almost patah.... Anyway... went to another char chan teng... this round time I finished my food.. coz was too hungry...

Che Chai Min

This is the list for Che Chai Min. U can choose your favorite noodle type and also those ingredients that you want to add into your noodle. It's juz something like when you cook maggie mee you add on sausage or egg. But for this they have a min expenses for one bowl of noodle.

Chili oil to go with the noodle

DONE!!! I finished!!! BURP!!! *excuse me*

oh... in Hong Kong.. their transportation is very convenient.. train, buses, van bus.. everywhere is so convenient... to make everything even much more convenient, they have created this card named "octopus card" which is something similar to our touch'n'go. But they really fully functionalized the card. And this is the machine to add value into the card. It's really sooooooooo convenient.. love it so much....

I was walking everywhere in HK like without any direction. Until I passed by this shop... looked into the menu... OMG!!! it's the 'dan dan' from macau.. which is also one of my favorite food. It's totally a very very smooth steam milk that you could able to get.

Cold Steam Milk... yum yum~
I m missing it ad even now blogging it

Menu of the cafe

DONE!!!! in within may be 5 mins? even I m a slow eater

There's a IKEA near by my hostel which I just able to pass by but not visiting inside the shop

There's the night I walk until I really don't know what to eat. N suddenly thought of having Jap food in HK becoz their food are quality food. So I actually went t the shops opposite my hostel and found a Jap restaurant.

Sen-ryo (at the entrance)

Need to take number. Remember I mentioned earlier? eating in HK need to queue everywhere

and until I get into the restaurant, only I knew it's actually genki sushi.. hahaaa... their decoration are totally different

This is the front road of my hostel

4th day for me in HK, have a date with Chris for lunch. He brought me to Sheung Wan for lunch so that we no need to queue and eat with other working people. We had buffet therefore, we did not need to squeeze place with other people, too.

Sheung Wan

Salad buffet.. It was so nice... and so many choices of vege

Me and my salad. I am missing it now..

We were actually in Momo Cafe which is located in Marriott hotel if I m not mistaken

And after the lunch, Chris brought me to some places to shop. and we actually took the ting ting car.. hehee...

It's something like double decker but it follows the rail way...

Me in the bus

Van Car for Li & Fung (one of my customer) purposely took it to show my customer

Vending machine for Umbrella..

went to Lai Chi Kok for the wholesale area

Exit at the LiFung Tower

They have a huge building in HK. FYI, their HQ is in HK, too. They are named as IDS in Malaysia

Another entrance of LiFung Tower

And after passing by the LiFung Tower, here we go with the wholesale market. Unfortunately it was rainy days, so I didn't able to take pictures in the market but outside here so that I could able to recognize for the next time when I visit HK.

And then Chris left me alone there to shop around and he needed to leave and work for the day. And he was saying to come out again at night to have a drink with me.

I was in Admiralty for changing railway

Haaa... it was a hilarous thing when I was in the pub becoz the local thought that I am local. So by introducing this Blur Girl to me, the pub gal was saying "it's impossible for me not to hear of this brand before" hahahaaa..... funny.....

anyway.... the brand of the beer is BLUE GIRL. you can get it anywhere in HK's pub

It was my last night in HK, so was having drinks with Chris and head back to my hostel. While I was on the way back.. was taking picture around again..

Great George Street (next to Paterson Street)

Paterson Street (the location of my hostel)

opposite of my hostel. there's actually a cinema there. always hear people said that HK's cinema quite good.but yet, I still haven get the chance to try it yet.

Entrance before entering my hostel

Before leaving to airport, went to nearby and found this Fairwood. Had my breakie there.

Kitchen are while I was waiting for my food.

My last Breakie of the trip

Fairwood (translate "dai fai wood")

Lift in the hostel

Bye bye HK. Waiting bus to get me to the airport. it's so cheap. Just need HKD40 compared to a taxi HKD220. Abit stingy coz rather used the money to pay for extra kgs for airline. hahaaa....

phew... finally I am finished with this entry... do you believe, may be I am not those pro blogger... I have used up 2 months+ to update this entry.... Congratulations to myself.. hahaaa...
